Dr. Lisa was raised on a
small farm west of Edmonton and knew from a young age, she would become a
vet. Lisa completed her Bachelor of Science (Animal Science major) degree
at the University of Alberta and then moved to Melbourne, Australia to complete
her veterinary medicine degree. Lisa graduated with honors in 2008.
She worked at a small animal practice for over four years in Melbourne before
taking a year off to travel to over thirty countries. A particular
highlight of this adventure was volunteering at an animal sanctuary in Sri
Lanka. Lisa and her husband then returned to the Edmonton area where she
worked at a very busy small animal practice for five years before moving to
Summerside Vet Hospital.
Lisa has an interest in dentistry and internal medicine and is
passionate about preventative care throughout the life of your pet.
She and her husband have a young son. Their family is
rounded out with four dogs, George, Millie, Lou, and Davey, and three cats named
Blanche, Minnie Mouse, and Mario. She loves spending time with her
family, gardening, reading, walking her dogs, and being outdoors as much as
possible. She looks forward to welcoming you to Summerside Vet
Hospital!
Pat grew up on a mixed farm (beef and dryland crops) near Turin, Alberta. He studied Agricultural Biotechnology at the University of Lethbridge before being admitted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated with distinction in 2005. After working at clinics in Vernon, Calgary, and Southern Ontario, Pat settled in Edmonton in 2010.
Pat loves spending his free time with his wife and two children as well as their dog Ned and cat Timothy. He enjoys family outings to hike, bike and play at the park are frequent and treasured. Pat also enjoys running.
As a veterinarian, Pat’s goal is to work with each case to provide the best possible medicine and care within the available means. He is especially interested in the benefits of providing dental care for pets. Pat also likes working with aging pets to ensure comfort and a good quality of life.
Taryn grew up in Nanaimo, BC, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology
at the Vancouver Island University. Shortly after, in pursuit of her childhood dream of becoming
a veterinarian, she began graduate studies in Saskatoon. Following her Master’s thesis
defence, she began training at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in
2017. Taryn has spent several years practicing in Toronto, and just relocated her family to
Edmonton in 2024.
As a veterinarian, her interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, and
soft tissue surgery. Taryn especially enjoys working with cats to ensure we are meeting their
needs, as they age.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids, and their
three cats, Mindie, Mars, and Millie. She enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family, and also likes to stay active,
both in and outdoors. She is excited to join the team at Summerside Vet Hospital!
Dr. Christine Morgantini grew up on an acreage outside of Edmonton and spent much of her childhood in a vet clinic and around animals. She knew from a young age that she wanted to help animals and started her university journey at the University of Alberta graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Animal Science. She then completed her veterinary degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2006.Â

Shortly after graduation Dr. Christine Morgantini moved to Vancouver Island for a few years and experienced small animal medicine combined with after hours emergency work. Christine then returned home to Edmonton and has since worked and locumed in general practice as well as emergency clinics throughout the city. In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She has a passion for the human animal bond and enjoys creating lasting connections with her clients and patients. Christine looks forward to locuming at Summerside Veterinary Hospital and forming many amazing new relationships.
Berkley graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program at NAIT in   2010. She comes to us with a high level of skill and expertise. Berkley has a special interest in pain management, surgical anesthesia, and patient care. She also has a passion for client education. Berkley has two yellow labs, Rascal and Autumn, and two horses named Tessler, and Molly. In her spare time, Berkley enjoys photography, world travel, and horseback riding.
Shannon graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Environmental Conservation Sciences and worked as a Forest Ecologist before deciding to switch gears. Her passion for science and animals led her to the Animal Health Technology program where she graduated with honors in 2012. Shannon worked at a busy Edmonton practice for several years before moving to Summerside in fall, 2019. She has a passion for anesthesia and surgery, pathology, and senior pet care. She and her husband have a lively son and share their home with Jellybeens & Jupiter, their two Siberian Huskies. In her spare time, Shannon loves hiking/backpacking, biking, gardening, and going on adventures with her family.
Deanna graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in 1996 and has worked at a small animal veterinary practice ever since. We were excited to have Deanna join the Summerside team in August 2019. She is enthusiastic about all aspects of veterinary care and has a strong interest in dentistry, surgical anesthesia and believes in high quality care for all her patients. Deanna loves to spend her spare time hanging out with her family at the lake, on the ski hill or just watching a movie at home. Deanna has two Standard Poodles named Penelope & Daisy.Â
Leanne grew up surrounded by her family’s beloved pets and aspired to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Leanne has made that goal a reality by recently graduating from NAIT’s Animal Health Technology program in 2023! She likes to spend her time at home drawing and reading with her little troublemaker, a Cockapoo named Noriko.
Ashley graduated from the N.A.I.T Registered Veterinary Technician program in 2013. Her favorite part of the job is surgical prep and anesthesia.Â
She enjoys camping, yoga, being in the great outdoors, and hanging out with her family. Ashley has a white Swiss Shepherd called Bigwig.Â
Emily graduated from NAIT’s Veterinary Medical Assistant program in 2013 and has been working in the veterinary industry ever since. She joined Summerside Vet in November 2020 as Assistant Manager and Receptionist, and is grateful to be part of such an amazing team.
At home, Emily shares her life with four cats, Spinelli, Ivy, Romeo, and Kiki, whom she adores; Even when they’re getting into mischief. When she’s not snuggling her cats, Emily enjoys painting, exploring new craft projects, and spending time in the garden.
Emily is passionate about providing excellent client and patient care and is proud to support the Summerside community every day.
Amanda joined the team at Summerside Vet in 2019. She graduated from the University of Albert with a BSc in Biological Sciences in 2020 and is currently in school for Diagnostic Medical Sonography at NAIT. She has a lifelong love of animals and an interest in animal health and wellbeing. Outside of the clinic she spends her free time running ultramarathons, climbing mountains, biking and doing agility with her rescue dog, Stevie.
Meghan started volunteering at Summerside Vet September, 2022 and has since become a valuable member of our team. She is currently in the the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT. Meghan is also strengthening her knowledge of animal medicine at our clinic.
While Meghan isn't in the clinic, she can be found paddle boarding, reading, or playing with her chocolate lab, Harvey.
Seerat graduated from Grant Macewan University with a bachelors of science degree majoring in biology.
Seerat will be attending the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in the fall to peruse his dreams of becoming a DVM. He has always been fascinated by the bond between humans and animals and is driven by a desire to improve their lives.
He has an amazing 8-year-old German Shepard named Champ, who is his best friend! Some of Seerat’s favorite hobbies outside of work include golfing, hockey, watching movies and spending time with his friends and family.
Taylor volunteered at Summerside Vet before joining the team in August of 2025. She graduated with a BSc from the University of Alberta and has the goal of becoming a veterinarian. In the meantime, she is gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge at the clinic. Taylor is passionate about exotic animal care, wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, and research aimed at improving animal lives.Taylor has a four-year-old ball python named Arthur, whom she adores. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, and spending time outdoors.
Jennylynn began volunteering at Summerside Vet before officially joining the team in October 2025. She enjoys learning all aspects of animal care and health, as well as the day to day operations of a veterinary clinic. Jennylynn will be attending NAIT’s Veterinary Technology program in September 2026.
In her free time, she loves taking her two boxers, Jasper and Ash, on long walks and cuddling her sphynx cat, Charcoal. Jennylynn is an avid photographer, and enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
